Sarad Chand, 69, of Modesto/Ripon, CA passed away on January 15th, 2021 following a battle with COVID-19. Sarad was born and raised in Lautoka, Fiji with 8 siblings, including 3 brothers and 5 sisters. He immigrated to the United States in 1978 and was known for his love of singing Bhajan and gregarious spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarju Prasad and Ramdulari Prasad and his sister, Saras Prasad. He is survived by his loving wife, Usha Chand, his daughter, Rachel Chand, his son,Dr. Robin Chand, his daughter-in-law, Dr. Mailee Hess, and his granddaughter, Amaia Chand, 4 sisters, Ista Devi, Prabha Wati, a Madhur Lata, Sunita Prasad. 3 brothers, Hem Chand, Kishore Chand, Pravin Prasad and a host of other loving family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who know and loved him.
