Roosevelt Smith Jr

Roosevelt Smith Jr. was the third son born to Clara and Roosevelt Smith Sr., on September 8, 1957 in Calera, Alabama. In 1962 his family moved to Fontana, California. A few years later the family moved to Ontario, California where he attended Cypress Elementary, De Anza Junior High, and Ontario High Schools. Roosevelt has lived in many places and has met many life-long friends, whom he always greeted with that cool smile and his bubbly eyes. He worked in Construction and Recycling until his health began to fail him. He had moved back to Modesto, California about three years ago and loved to go fishing and he had begun making and selling picture frames.

Roosevelt passed from this life March 14, 2017.. He leaves to mourn his loving mother, Clara Lee Smith, one son, Travis Evans Barriner, two brothers, Chester Ray Smith of Ontario, California and Michael Wayne Jordan of Ione, California, one sister, Eugena Vines Tyes of Orlando, Florida, and a host of other relatives, acquaintances, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Smith Sr., sister, Juanita Smith and three brothers, Kenneth Darnell Jordan, James Earl Smith and Samuel Lee Kirkland.
