Robert Michael Pier was born in New York on April 3, 1949 to the union of his parents Edward Pier and Helen Smith.
Robert Serviced as an aviator in the Untied States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1979. He later worked for several compaines included Applied Materials as an Electronic Technician and retired after working nearly 30 years in the electronics industries.He enjoyed painting, drawing, writing books, wood working, fishing, shooting pool and shooting at the gun range and writing games for computer games
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edward Pier and his sister, Cricket VanSise.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of nearly 49 years Nobuko Pier of Modesto one son, George Pier of Manteca, ca, three daughters, Helen J. Pier of Modesto, Michelle M. Quattlebaum of Manteca and Katherine A. Sweat of Oakdale, three grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Robert will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
