Raymond Ozel Green

Raymond Ozel Green was born on May 19, 1962, in his mother's hometown of Dallas
Texas and he was called home to glory on July 23, 2019, in Modesto, California.
Raymond Ozel was the sixth child of Etta Jean Smith and the Jr. to his father Raymond
Green.
Raymond Ozel spent his childhood years with his other seven brothers and sisters living
in Dallas Texas moving between Fairfield Texas and Butler Texas. The family moved to
Menlo Park, California in 1965 where Raymond attended Willow Oak High School and
he graduated from Garden Oak High School. Raymond excelled at football and
basketball in high school and the Green Brothers were pretty popular.
When Raymond finished high school he decided to attend Job Corps with his younger
brother Frank Green. Off to Boise Idaho, the brothers went to further their education and
learn life skills. There Raymond was trained in skills that he would take into his life like
how to cook. Raymond graduated from the culinary program at Job Corps in 1983. At
this point Raymond knew he was well on his way to a successful, demanding, but
rewarding bright future.
Raymond Ozel met Eva Moore in high school and their young love produced his firstborn son Raymond Ozel Green II or Lil Raymond or better yet his twin. Raymond knew
that he now had to provide so he worked several jobs at restaurants as a cook. He also
worked as a security guard and in the In-Home Health field.
In 1989 Raymond met and fell in love with the mother of his 5 other children, his one and
only wife LaCreasha Green. Raymond and LaCreasha gave birth to the most beautiful
and handsomest children ever. Raymond and LaCreasha birthed one son and four
beautiful baby girls. Rayshawn Green, Rayniesha Green, Rayonna Green, Rashai Green, and Ray'manier Green.
When Raymond wasn't working and taking care of his family his most favorite past time
was Fishing! Raymond loved, loved, loved to be on the fishbank reeling in that big
catfish, bluegills or carps; with his best fishbank partner ever his oldest sister Ann.
In 2004 Raymond decided to move his family to back to Dallas, Texas where he worked
as a landscaper. Raymond provided for his family the best way he knew how. While
living in Butler, Texas, Raymond was able to secure a home for his family on a 200-acre
land property that even included a lake in the backyard. This ensured that his children
would be able to run and play and enjoy childhood as he once did. Teaching his children
how to work with their hands and live off the land like he was taught. Raymond children
grew up into adulthood to have children of their own making Raymond a proud grandpa.
Raymond loved his family so much that he was so involved that he would even take his
grandchildren to the Doctors if they were ill, or to the park to play, or to the lake for a
good time where he spent quality time with his most precious loved ones. Raymond Ozel
was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren more than life itself.
Raymond Ozel was preceded in death by two older sisters Zelma Jean Johnson and Linda
Gail Johnson, and by his mother the one and only Mrs. Etta Jean Smith. Raymond Ozel
leaves behind to cherish his memory two sisters Alicia Ann Nixon and Cynthia Lynn
Johnson, three brothers, Donald Ray Green, Jessie James Johnson, and Frank Ray Green.
His wife LaCreasha Green, his two sons Raymond Ozel Green II, and Rayshawan Green.
Four daughters Rayniesha Green, Rayonna Green, Rashai Green, and Ray'manier Green.
Eight grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces family and friends.
Raymond Ozel was adventurous, caring, compassionate, honest, down to earth and just
someone you could come and talk to. Raymond had a smile that lit up a room and a
personality that definitely got the party going. Raymond Ozel will be truly missed and
loved and remembered forever. We will never forget you uncle we love you always and
forever.
