Died Thursday morning at 1:40 A.M. on July 20th, 2017
in Stockton, California. He was one of six children and the oldest boy of four.
He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He was born May 17th,1952
in Muskegon, Michigan to Francis Dale Mitchell and Marvel Joan Mitchell. He is survived by his wife Shirley Mitchell, his son Shawn Michell and a daughter Christina. His father Francis Mitchell, his sister Joan VanSchoonhoven, two brothers Kenneth Mitchell and Vincent Mitchell. His mother's death in 2004, a sister in 2011 and a brother in 2016 was a difficult time for him. He had seven grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren. He served in the Marine Corps. He worked as a Counselor for deprived children in Salem, Oregon. He worked at Roseboro Lumber Company in Springfield, Oregon. He enjoyed music, older cars and the friendship of his good friend Garry Watson Jr. He had a good sense of humor. He was a Christian and ready to meet the Lord. Randy will be remembered for his caring heart for others. He died like a gentleman, peacefully in the arms of the Lord. He was loved and will be missed deeply by family and friends until we see him again in Heaven.
