Phillip Quarles Easton, also known by many as (Philthy) was born April 27, 1989 in Modesto, CA. to the proud parents of Walter T. Easton and Cathy Larry Easton. His father Walter loved both his children dearly, and gave his undeniable personality and resemblance to his beloved son. Phillip's mother Cathy later married Rev. Ronald Dunham Sr. to whom Phillip grew to love and called (Rev-Pastor-Dad). Phillip was born into a great legacy created by his grandparents, Eugene Larry and Hazel Guillory-Larry. Phillip was raised in a faith-filled family where all of the children, and young adults recited the Lord’s prayer every night.
Under the leadership of Pastor Ronald Dunham Sr. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Modesto CA, Phillip accepted Christ in his life and was baptized at the age of 8 years old and at the age of 9 he was called to preach. Phillip preached God’s word at many churches; his first sermon entitled ``Hide and Seek was a testimony on how you cannot hide from God. Phillip touched the lives of the young and old alike with his preaching, his words still resonate today with those who were privileged enough to witness his amazing sermons. Later, Phillip together with his family while still under the leadership of Rev. Ronald Dunham Sr. united with the Second Baptist Church of Merced CA, where he remained a faithful member until he was called home to Glory.
Family was the cornerstone of Phillip's world; he loved celebrating with family and keeping traditions alive. He shared remarkable relationships with his cousins, together, they formed their own tight knit group called the “606 kids”. The love for one another remained rich and strong, he shared memories with all of them that are spoken of to this very day.
He formed many lifelong friendships and developed a reputation of loyalty and humor. His friends loved and respected him and often said he was one of the most solid people they have known. Phillip's greatest joy and proudest accomplishments are his sons, Quinton and Ryland Easton. He dedicated himself to being a loving and supportive father, instilling in them the same values of family unity and compassion that he held so dear. He reminded his sons that he will ALWAYS be with them. He explained to them that NO distance, Nor place, Nor time, Nor sickness, could ever take his love away from them. He explained to them, that as long as they keep God in their lives, they will meet each other again.
Phillips words to Quinton and Ryland – “Look to the skies sons, and when you see the stars, know that though they may look small, they are bigger than this entire Earth; and Remember that THATS how much I love you”.
Phillips Words To His Mother- “To the woman that means the most to me, my first lady- I thank God for his gift of blessing me and my sister with you. I want you to know that I love you dearly. If anything happens to you, it happens to me. But don’t worry, I trust that you will see that “I’m ok”! I hate that I’m away, but I want to thank you for all the love you gave to me. You’ve shown me how to be a man, I love you mom and no one could ever replace you. No matter how far I’ll be away, you’ll know wassup!!...Love your son -Philthy”
“To My Sis, My Twin, My Heart- I can’t thank you enough for who you have been to me. I love you so much. If I gotta go, know that I’m chillen wit our Dad Walt-T. Imma still be with you.
