Petra Maldonado Lara was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on January 31, 1929 to the union of her parents Francisca Espinosa and Juan Maldonado.

Petra was a homemaker for 55 years she enjoyed attending Templo El Buen Samaritano church in Modesto, spending time after church with her sister's in Christ, playing Chinese checkers, listening to Christian Music, reading her bible and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Pedro Maldonado, Eduardo Maldonado, Antonia Maldonado and Angel Espinosa.

Petra leaves to mourn her passing her children, Maria Esmeralda Lara, Robert Lara, Armando Lara and Art Lara all of Modesto, 19 grand children, 31 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. Petra will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
