Muni (Lily) Prasad

Muni Lachmi Prasad “Lily” (August 5,1953 - March 19, 2023)
Age 69, died in the comfort of her home with her husband, daughter, and son. She is survived by her husband (Suresh Prasad), daughter (Deepanjali Prasad), and son (Deepak Prasad). 

She was born in Korociriciri, Nausori (Fiji Islands) on August 5, 1953 to Dursami Chetty (father) and Muttamma Chetty (mother). She migrated to Modesto, CA with her family in 1992.

She had five sisters and six brothers. The apple of her eye was her one and only grandson, Aakash Mateo Prasad.

Besides spending time with her family, she found joy in cooking for others. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved with her delicious cooking.

Despite suffering a stroke at age 30, causing a disability with mobility on her right side, she was a strong, courageous woman who faced every challenge with grace and determination. Lily never let her condition define her and inspired everyone around her with resilience and unwavering positivity. She was one of the strongest women in her family. Lily was and is the definition of strength when it comes to physical, mental, and spiritual strength along with her contagious smile.  She was our Wonder Woman.

Rest in peace, Lily. You will be forever missed, but your spirit will live on through the countless meals you cooked and the memories you created.
