Lewis Larry Nan, known affectionately by many as Larry, passed away peacefully in his home in Modesto, California, on June 20, 2023. Born on June 25, 1952, in San Francisco, California, Larry lived a fulfilling life filled with love, service, and dedication to his family and community.

Larry was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Jan Elizabeth Nan. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories. His love for his family was evident in his role as a father to Ryan Nan, Theresa Frassand, Heather Kucher, all of Modesto, and Michael Gryskiewicz of Clovis, CA. His son, Anthony Gryskiewicz, preceded him in death. Larry was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Alina, Chloe, Elijah, Isabella, Anastasia, and Georgia, who brought immense joy and pride into his life. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Rogers, and his niece and nephews, Janie Rogers, Christopher Roger, and Brian Rogers.

Larry's professional life was characterized by hard work and dedication. He worked as a Master Mechanic for Blue Diamond Almond Growers in Modesto for 26 years. His colleagues remember him as a reliable, diligent, and skilled worker who was always ready to lend a helping hand. His work ethic and commitment to his craft were admirable, and he left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working with him.

In his personal life, Larry was a man of many interests. He had a passion for building cars, a hobby that showcased his handy nature and meticulous attention to detail. He was also an avid fan of Giants Baseball, a love he shared with his family and friends. Above all, Larry enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends from AA. His home was always filled with laughter, love, and the warm aroma of home-cooked meals.

Larry was a man who embodied the word 'handy.' He was always ready to fix a broken appliance, help a neighbor with a car issue, or lend his expertise to a friend in need. His ability to turn his hand to anything was a testament to his resourcefulness and practicality. His family and friends will remember him for his generous spirit, his warm smile, and his unwavering dedication to those he loved.
