It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Emil Javius. Joshua was born in San Francisco, Ca to Ephione Jackson and Michael Javius on May 21,1975 and later made his home in Modesto, Ca. Joshua passed away on Thursday September 25, 2025, in Modesto, Ca.
Joshua always lived his life in a way that was entirely his own-sometimes questionable, but always unforgettable.
Anyone who knew Joshua could tell you he made choices that weren't always the wisest, but that never stopped him from lighting up a room. Joshua had an ability to make people laugh with his quick wit, and a knack for making the ordinary feel like a party. Joshua was the kind of person you couldn't help but enjoy being around.
Life with Joshua was rarely quiet, never boring, and always full of stories worth retelling. Joshua taught us that even in imperfection, there's joy, humor and connections.
Joshua is preceded in death by his beloved mother Ephione (Mae) Jackson, his grandmother Annie, and his loving aunts Pearl and Jewel. He is survived by his Uncle EJ(Angie) and Aunt Teresa. His siblings Kurtis, Edward (Lindsay), Frank (Desiree), and Angel. His children Joshua (Samantha), Demarcus, Nate, Juleon, and Keanna as well as many other cousins, friends, and loved ones.
