John Vishun Dayal

John Vishun Dayal (also known as Johnny, Toto, or Muna by family and friends) was born on May 23, 1953. John always wore a big smile on his face, had the biggest 

heart, and always cracked jokes. He grew up in Navua and lived majority of his life in Suva, Fiji Islands. He was a kind and friendly soul who spent his time with family 

and friends. He enjoyed being a fisherman and playing soccer and he was known for being excellent at both. After retiring in 2008, John and his family migrated to Hobart Tasmania, Australia. Unfortunately, John passed away on October 29, 2023, in Modesto, California, leaving behind his wife, two sons, and three grandchildren. John was looking forward to spending his upcoming Holidays with his family and friends in California. We were all looking forward to spending time with him during his visit and we are all devastated by this sudden loss. All we have are memorable moments spent with him in the past. He was so close, yet so far… “So near yet so far. So far yet so near. Some relations are better left undefined. The beauty of their existence lies in them being not together yet always, eternally bonded."
