Harmon Thomas Copeland Jr. passed away peacefully on July 24, 2021. He was born in Snyder, Texas on May 18, 1943 to Harmon Thomas Copeland Sr. and Gladys Hagler-Copeland. At his birth he joined his 3 sisters who were Lanelle, Shirley, and Karen. Another sister, Martha, was born later. He attended schools in Texas and received his B.S. in Mechanized Agriculture on August 24, 1968. While attending Texas Tech University, he met his wife Cathryn Dianne Gammenthaler whom he married on September 6, 1968 at his sister Martha Gowen’s house. From this union was born one daughter, Rebecca Lynn and four sons, David Allen, Kenneth Bob, Douglas Jason, and Michael Tray.
Harmon later moved to California where he eventually settled in a rural farming community in Ceres, CA and then later in a farming community near Turlock, California. While there, he was a distributor for cattle products, Tainio agricultural products, and Land and Sea Organics. Harmon served honorably in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal.
On his passing, he leaves behind his wife, Cathryn and 4 children, Rebecca Padilla, David Allen, Kenneth Bob, Douglas Jason, and Michael Tray. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Mackenzie and Kylie Padilla and Jaden and Isabelle Copeland. He also leaves behind his sisters Lanelle Dovel, Shirley Hodges, and Martha Gowen.
