Gillia Gordon was born July 10th, 1963 in Redwood City CA, to her parents Dorothy Nelle Crayton Gordon & her late father George Murray Gordon. Gillia accepted Christ into her life at an early age at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in East Palo Alto under the leadership of Pastor Dmps. Later She met and married Anthony Hackett., Through their union, they had a son named Andre Jamal Hackett, and later down the line after that union ended Gillia had a daughter named Ayana Nicole Gordon. Gillia Gordon moved to Stockton CA in the late 90’s early 2000s with her kids where she continued her education at Delta College and later received a degree in Mass Communications. Gillia later attended Humphreys College to continue into her bachelor's degree in Communications and Business. Gillia worked as a homemaker but also worked at a drug recovery center for a small period of her adult life. She was a faithful member in the early 90’s of Faith Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Stanley. Later she became a faithful member of New Spirit Baptist Church in Stockton CA, under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Curtis Kimbrough where she was active in the church choir. Gillia enjoyed having fun, laughing, dancing, spending time with her kids and grandchildren, and doing anything that put her creative skills to work. She was devoted to becoming a notary republic and wedding officiant to the point she received her full certificate. She wanted her wedding services to serve the less fortunate, in her words “ The ghetto wedding officiant”. Gillia knew how to make all her children and grandchildren feel special in their own ways, who she loved dearly. Even her crazy dog “ Bougie” who she loved oh so much. Gillia always had an open heart for others where she often adopted people as her kids. They know her as “ Mama Gale”. She knew how to bring something special to every person she met and became friends with. They knew her for her laugh, smile, and realness. She would often say “ I keeps it a 1000”. Gillia was a member and founder of the California Poppies who her sisters of the group follow; Kara, Tameka, Alicia, Erica, Vanessa, and Monique.
