Darnell Ramon Carr Sr., affectionately known as "Mon," peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on August 4, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on March 2, 1967, in Los Angeles, California, Darnell was a cherished son, brother, father, grandfather, grandson and uncle whose life was marked by love, adventure, and a keen analytical mind.

Ramon received his early education at Angeles Mesa Elementary School, followed by Webster Junior High School. In 1985, he graduated from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth and intellectual development. During his high school years, he met and fell in love with Twyla Lee the mother of his first-born child, daughter Donyea Carr. Following graduation, Ramon enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he met Patricia Wilson, whom he would later marry and with whom he would have two beloved children, Bre and DJ. In 2020 Darnell married junior high school classmate Lisa Fleming.

Ramon's professional journey was as diverse as it was fulfilling. After his service in the Navy, he discovered his passion for driving big rigs and obtained his license. This profession allowed him to explore the open road and satisfy his adventurous spirit.

A man of many interests, Darnell was known for his love for gadgets and his knack for disassembling electronics. He also shared a passion for the strategic game of chess, a testament to his analytical mind. Yet, nothing captured his heart more than his family and his blue truck, a symbol of his love for adventure and exploration.

Ramon was a man of many virtues. His adventurous spirit was balanced by his loving nature, making him a beacon of warmth and comfort to those around him. His analytical mind was a source of wisdom and guidance to his loved ones, and his sensitivity made him a safe haven for those in need of understanding and compassion. As English author G.K. Chesterton once said, "The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him." Darnell embodied this sentiment, his love for his family serving as his driving force throughout his life.

Ramon is survived by his two daughters, Donyea Carr and Bre'Anna Marie Carr; son, Darnell (DJ) Carr Jr.; mother, DeBorah Davis; his sister, Claressa Carr, his younger siblings the Davis clan, Kendra, Hollea, LaTeesha, Marleesha, Dustin & Timothy Davis; two grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his fathers, William Carr, Donald Davis and his grandparents, Delia Carr and Roy Preacley.

Darnell Ramon Carr Sr. was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. His love for his family, his passion for adventure, and his analytical mind will forever be remembered and cherished. His life was an embodiment of love and devotion, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. Remembering Ramon and his Mom DeBorah's motto "It All Works Out in The End" Rest in peace, Ramon. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
