At Carlos’ request, no funeral or memorial services will be held. He wished only to extend love, peace and light to all.
Carlos Evans, who’s grandaughter K’ala called him “Papi” and is also known affectionately as Locs, was born
on September 5, 1967, in Modesto, California. lovingly known for his humor, intelligence, and deep devotion to
his family! Carlos passed away on August 19, 2023, from a tragic accident at Woodward Reservoir Regional
Park in Oakdale, California.
Carlos the cherished son of Bill Woodley and Frances Evans, both of whom preceded him in death as did his
loving MomMae (Grandmother) who he affectionately dubbed his Queen Mother, sister Denise (Tammy) Evans, brother, Robe Hull
and his nephew, Kameron Jackson.
He is survived by his loyal wife, Michele and his loving children, Marches, Trishele and D’Vaunte’. His family
circle also included Marches’ wife Destiny their children K’ala, Marches and B.J. Trishele’s significant other,
Luis Torres and D’Vaunte's’ significant other, Annalyse Hernandez. Carlos’ cherished siblings are his brothers,
Damien Hull, Demitrius Hull & Dupree Hull and Freddy. Sisters, Lanell (Yvette) Warner, Debra Hull, Ella Marie Woodley-Igbokwe, Lola.
Carlos is known as a man of simple tastes, grand passions, a keen wit and love for learning. His intelligence
carried him through life, allowing him to enjoy a successful career as a semi-truck driver for over 25 + years.
His deep passion for fishing was only rivalled by his admiration for American made muscle cars. He’s a man
that believes in the power of love and the strength of family!
Locs touched so many and left an indelible mark on the world! His life in every sense of the word is remarkable
and truly extraordinary! Carlos positively affects everyone who makes his acquaintance, is a beloved figure in
his community and will be sorely missed by everyone who knows him.
In the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you
did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Locs embodied this quote with his loving, funny, and
intelligent nature.
His loving wife Michele and children take solace in knowing his essence transcends the ether, he is everywhere
all at once and he awaits them in the afterworld.
