Annie Walker -Tillmon the daughter of the late Jerry and Susie Walker of Fitzgerald, Georgia, was born on April 1st, 1939.
At an early age, she became a member of Mountain Top Baptist Church. She graduated at Monitor High School in 1961. In the same year she moved to Modesto California where she attended Modesto Junior College. It was in Modesto where she met the love of her life Mr. Royce Lee Tillmon Sr. The couple was married on May 05th, 1962.
In 1964 Annie was one of the first black women to work in the production area at Campbell Soup Company in Modesto, California. Annie worked on the production line, assembling Swanson frozen food dinners. Annie continued to work 33 years, and 8 months before retiring. Annie enjoyed fishing Campbell Soup Bass Tournaments with her husband Royce, and won many tournaments. She also enjoyed bowling many tournaments, she won the Modesto City Tournament and placed 2nd in the Mother-daughter tournament. She also enjoyed having breakfast with the Campbell Soup Brunch Bunch. She enjoyed attending church with her family at Apostolic Jubilee Center.
She departed this life with unshakable faith to be with the Lord on December 3rd, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memories: her dear husband Mr. Royce Tillmon Sr., and son Royce Tillmon Jr. (preceded by death) one daughter, Camilla Delgado; one son-in-law, Richard Delgado; three grandsons, Dominique, Christian, Devin Delgado; and great-grandson Jacob Delgado. One Sister Bernice Smith all of Modesto. Four brothers: Mr. John H. Walker, Mr. Albert Walker, Mr. Tommy Walker. Daniel Walker; three sisters: Mrs. Hattie M. Campbell, Mrs. Jessie Hardy, Mrs. Jerri L. Edwards (preceded by death); a close cousin Darriel Buford; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She touched many hearts and will be missed dearly.
