Cynthia Ann Nevarez
Resident of Modesto, CA born in Salinas, CA, lived most of her life in the Oakland Bay Area. She was preceded in death by her husband Felix Nevarez Jr., her father Ramon Cardenas Sr., her mother Manuela Cardenas, her brother Ramon Cardenas Jr. and her nephew Roberto Mota Jr. She is survived by her children; Estela Valdez (Carlos) & Crystal Nevarez (David White), her siblings; Moses Cardenas, Rebecca Montoya (Bob Kerr) & Paula Ramponi (Michael). She had 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews & Step-sisters Sherry Hooper (Richard) and Kathy Garibay.
Cynthia was known for having a big heart and a loving disposition. She was always there for anyone that needed her no matter the situation. She raised several of her family members (Mondo, Ernie, Mary, Rosemary, Linda & Salina) like they were her own. She was the life of the party, she would be the first one up to dance whether it was by herself or with a partner. As a young girl she loved combing hair so she became a wig stylist and worked several years in Oakland. After her children came she became a stay at home mom. That was probably her favorite job ever. She loved kids of all ages and they loved her back. She always had an open-door policy and everyone knew that if you needed an ear or a place to feel safe that was with her. She was a prankster, she loved doing her crafts and when she could she loved to bowl.
She was the best Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunty anyone could have asked for. She will be missed and forever in our hearts.
